Nigerian Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has praised his fellow actor Deyemi Okanlawon for breaking his usual birthday tradition.
Deyemi announced on his Instagram page that, unlike previous years, he did not have a photoshoot for his birthday this year.
Instead, he requested his fans and followers to share his prayer post on their own stories and tag him. Deyemi expressed his gratitude in advance for their support and also said a prayer for his family members.
“Heavenly Father I pray for Deyemi Okanlawon & His family. Lord lead them in the path of righteousness, shower your blessings upon their endeavor, and grant them strength in times of need. Fill their lives with love, joy, and peace”.
No photo shoot this year… all I ask is that you please share this on your story and, if you choose to, you may tag me. I pray that all our dreams come true and we live out our purpose Thank you”.
In his comment section, Kunle Remi confronted him, pointing out how Deyemi would surprise them by unexpectedly releasing the photos.
He, nevertheless, commended him for growing up while advising him to pursue his endeavors in his unique manner.
“Shiorrrr
Happy Birthday sir, from your mouth to God’s ears.
Na to release the photos when we are not expecting. Baba do your things, we know your ways. Catch your fun. We were even praying against pictures this year. Thank God very mature move”.
Weeks ago, Deyemi Okanlawon expressed his gratitude to his friends, Adesua Etomi and Kunle Remi, for a generous financial gift that left him speechless.
He shared a screenshot of the credit alert and stated how Adesua, who is married to Banky W, had touched him with her kind gesture. Deyemi emphasized that he considers them the best friends and colleagues in the world.
Recently, Deyemi honored veteran actor Kunle Bantefa and reflected on his early start in the film industry when he was around 8 or 9 years old.
He recalled his first time on set for a family commercial, where Sola Sobowale played his mother and his brother, Detola Okanlawon, played his brother. However, Deyemi embarrassed his brother by crying and struggling with his lines.
