Vigilante murdered 33-yr-old mechanic over a shirt in Ogun

Ogun state police command has arrested a vigilant in Sango area of the state for killing a 33-year-old mechanic identified as Ayo.

According to reports the deceased was shot dead in front of his house on Sunday night, October 2, 2022.

According to a source, “Ayo and the vigilante had a minor dispute over fitness some time last year. They had an argument and a fight broke out during which Ayo torn the vigilante’s shirt. Some well-meaning individuals later stepped him and settled the issue. Ayo was asked to replace the shirt that he torn, which he did.

“Fast forward to Sunday, the vigilante accosted Ayo at about 11pm when he was returning from a bar in the area with the food that he bought. The vigilante acted like he didn’t know him and asked him where he was going and where he was coming from. Ayo told him he was coming from a bar and he was going home.

“The vigilante then insisted on going to with him to his house to confirm if he truly lives there. Of course, Ayo agreed but unknown to him the vigilante had interior motive. He shot Ayo point blank as soon as he confirmed that was where he was living.

He ran away but was later apprehended by the police and he’s currently at Sango police station.”
