Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger has announced his exit from Jonzing World to start his imprint called, ‘Blown Boy ENT’.
The musician signed a record deal with Jonzing World owned by Don Jazzy’s younger brother, D Prince in 2021, which he released his debut EP, Pandemic.
Announcing his exit via an Instagram post, Ruger sent a heartwarming goodbye message to his former boss D Prince for believing in him as a newbie artist and taking him to the height he’s currently in.
The ‘Asiwaju’ crooner noted that its sad that he had to leave but it’s time for him to take a bet on himself.
His words: “Thank you for believing in me and taking me this far. I would not have gotten here without you. It’s sad that I have to leave, but God knows best. I am taking a big bet on myself this year. I don’t know it all, but I know God will see me through. It is time for Blowboy ENT.”
Following Ruger’s exit from Jonzing World, new artist, Glorious Boy, was announced, this raised eyebrows among netizens whether there was issue between him and his former boss.
The singer also didn’t give an insight about his departure as he focuses on promoting his new record label. He is yet to announced any artist in his label.
Ruger also appreciated blogger Tunde Ednut for being the first person to discover him before his record label.
He said, “Just because I’m free to talk now, I want to specially thank @mazitundeednut for being the initial person that discovered me before handing me over to prince. God bless you king maker”.
Ruger’s post implied that he wasn’t allowed to speak at first, but now that his is no longer a member of Jonzing World, he can’t talk freely.
