Wizkid breaks down in tears while giving a speech at his mother’s funeral

Nigeria Afrobeat singer Ayodeji Balogun popularly known by his stage name Wizkid breaks down while giving emotional speech at his mother’s funeral.

It’s been a tough time for the singer who recently lost his mother, as he tries to go through life with his mother who was his back bone.

While giving a speech at His mother’s funeral on Thursday, 12th October 2023, he admitted to being in profound pain and that it hurts so much.

He also noted that this was the deepest pain he had ever felt in his entire life and broke down into tears as he stated that he is lost but prays God comfort every one of them.

“The pain is profound. It hurts deeply. The deepest pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m lost but I pray God will comfort every one of us.”

“I’m lost without you Mom, I love you so much, I love you”.

The video from the funeral is posted on his fan page on Twitter, and many have taken to comment section to sympathize with the singer.

Vee Vogee wrote: “A mother’s love can’t be replaced. The pain is unexplainable. May we be so blessed to look after our parents while they’re still alive”

Recall that Wakadaily had reported that the singers mother Mrs Jane Dolapo Balogun, had died at around 1.30 a.m. on Friday, August 18th 2023.

The news was confirmed by Sunday Aare, Wizkid’s longtime manager and the funeral is been carried out today 13th October 2023.
