Nollywood Actress Iyabo Ojo shows her support for socialite, Farida Sobowale, after a suicide attempt.
Recall that Wakadaily earlier reported that a Lagos socialite, Farida Sobowale had attempted to take her life over a failed marriage that allegedly lasted just two months.
In a video now making rounds she can be seen crying as she is been held by men around.
It has been reported that Farida was taken to the police station after being rescued by good Samaritans.
Iyabo Ojo reacting to the news has stated how Farida knowing what she has planned diverted her attention to something else and made her ended her call with her.
Noting how she was on a call with the businesswoman a few minutes before she got to hear of the incident, she wished she hadn’t ended the call, but is grateful to God for saving her life.
“Hmmmm my darling, if I knew you had this on your mind, I wouldn’t have gotten off the phone with you. Of course, you knew what you wanted to do but you diverted my attention elsewhere. Story for when we see (cos you’re going nowhere). Thank God for the people who were there right on time to save the situation, God bless them. My love, this will definitely pass, the sun will shine again, and your tomorrow will be better than your today, but for now, just breathe. I love you so much. Please stay strong. I’m praying for you”.
Actress, Nkechi Blessing has also sent her love and support to the socialite.
She took to her Instagram to throw her weight with the socialite as she notes how not everyone is able to deal with the pressure that comes from being trolled on social media.
Praying for her she urges her family and loved ones to stay very close to her as she finds her way out of this period.
“Not everyone is strong enough to handle the pressure that comes from being trolled and bullied on Instagram. Dear ma, I pray that God gives you the strength to scale through. It’s a phase and it shall pass. I urge her close friends and family to pls be with her at all times with close monitoring.
