Nigerian actor and comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has expressed his deep affection for his first son, Jason Okpocha, as the young boy turns 16 on May 9, 2024.

Basketmouth proudly shared heartwarming pictures of himself and his son, showcasing the teenager’s growth over the years.

Alongside his admiration for his son, Basketmouth wished him a memorable birthday.

The doting father, who has four children, declared today as a special day for his son, treating it as a public holiday and emphasizing that Jason holds an incredibly important place in his life.

Basketmouth wrote, “On this day, 16yrs ago…a king was born. In actual fact, May 9th should be declared a public holiday. Hold on let me talk to the Federal Government. This is totally wrong.

Happy Birthday Jason, you’re my everything! Wishing you a happy and memorable birthday. Love you son.”

Few hours ago, Elsie Okpocha, who is the ex-wife of the basketmouth, celebrated their son’s birthday by showering him with a heartfelt prayer.

She shared some lovely photos of her son in a video and praised him for his incredible talents, such as being a footballer, sprinter, and pianist, among others.

Elsie prayed for her son to have a long and beautiful life, filled with endless blessings from God.

She also prayed that he would continue to make them proud and stay away from any evil influences.

This celebration comes shortly after Basketmouth’s first daughter’s birthday few days ago.

Basketmouth, on his Instagram page, shared the video and wished his daughter a happy birthday, praying that all her wishes come true.

In 2022, Basketmouth and Elsie surprised Nigerians by announcing the end of their marriage.

Basketmouth made this announcement on Instagram and assured everyone that they would peacefully co-parent their children together.

The actor did not provide any reasons for the divorce and asked the public to respect their privacy.
