Veteran Nollywood actor, Pa Zulu Adigwe, has reportedly passed away on Tuesday evening, April 23rd, 2024.
The news of his death was shared by movie producer Stanley Nwoke, better known as Stanley Ontop, on his Instagram page. Nwoke announced the actor’s demise and stated that the cause of death is still unknown.

However, there are unconfirmed reports stating that the actor had been dealing with an undisclosed illness. If this is true, his death would contribute to the growing number of deaths in Nollywood.
Over the past four months, Nollywood has lost six of its own, including Sisi Quadri, Mr. Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Andy Best, Jumoke Aderounmu, and now Junior Pope.
According to wakadaily, Junior Pope reportedly died two weeks ago after drowning while returning from a movie shoot with his colleagues in a boat on the Anam River in Anambra State.
Just one day before his passing, up-and-coming actress Jumoke Aderounmu, who was part of Funke Akindele’s TV series “Jenifa Dairy,” also passed away at the age of 40.
On March 24th, veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor, who had been battling kidney issues for nearly a year, passed away.
A week prior to his death, Nollywood producer and marketer Ikechukwu Nnadi, known as Andy Best, also passed away after a prolonged illness at a private clinic in Owerri, Imo State.
In February, Yoruba actor Sisi Quadri died after being rushed to the hospital in his hometown of Iwo, Osun State, due to persistent hiccups caused by kidney-related problems. He was laid to rest the following day in Iwo, Osun State.
While Sisi Quadri was being laid to rest, veteran actor Mr. Ibu passed away at Evercare Hospital.
The actor, who had been fighting for his life for several months, passed away after suffering a heart attack. His death caused great sadness in the entertainment industry, as he was cherished by many and had played a significant role in our childhood memories.
