Early Life & Education
2baba Idibia was born in Jos into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Idibia and he has two brothers, Hyacinth and Charles.
He was born and raised in Jos, plateau state alongside his siblings, although he originated and hails from Benue state.
2baba attended Mount Saint Gabriel’s secondary school in Markudi, Benue state.
while he enrolled at the institute of management and technology, Enugu (IMT), where he did his preliminary National Diploma course in Business Administration and management, but he later eventually dropped out to pursue his career in music.
Career
2Baba began his music career as early as back when he was at IMT where he organizes shows and parties.
He started by composing and singing songs at the GB fan club at Enugu State Broadcasting Services (ESBS) in 1996.
In 1996, he started by adopting the stage name 2face (Tuface) where he aid the reason for the name was to differentiate his personal life from his business life.
He moved to Lagos and started performing with rapper Blackface Naija whom he met while he was at IMT.
So with Blackface (Ahnnedu Augustine Obiabo) and music counterpart, Faze (Chibuzor Orji), they formed a trio band called “Plantashun Boiz”.
Plantashun Boiz released two albums; Body and Soul and Sold out before they finally went their separate ways in 2004 with each others starting solo careers.
Although the band came back in 2007 and released their third album titled “Plan B” which only lasted for a moment.
Tuface signed with Kennis Music where he released an album Face 2 Face which contain one of the hit song “African queen” that brought him to the limelight across the globe. The song was also used as the soundtrack of the film “Phat Girlz”.
He also released another album “Grass 2 Grace” which contains hit songs like “One Love”, “4 Instance”, “No Shaking” and so on.
The singer left Kennis music and floated his own record label, Hypertek Entertainment which had the likes of Dammy Krane.
