Former Big Brother Naija All Star housemate Venita Akpofure’s ex-husband, Terna Tarka has come out to debunk her derogatory statement about TIV’s men giving out their wife’s to their guest for entertainment on national TV.
He made this known in a video he posted on his Instagram page on October 25th, 2023.
Addressing the general public on the issue, Terna Tarka spoke on behalf of all TIV men, outrightly debunking the narrative. Tarka then stressed that he never gave Venita out to their guests for any pleasure at any point in time during their marriage.
“I am here to address a very controversial narrative making rounds on social media. This is regarding a statement saying that when TIV men house guests, they give their wives out to these men for pleasure. Speaking as a proud TIV man who was born into one of the most prominent families.
“I would like to categorically state that in all my years of hosting my guests, even the thought of such a derogatory practice has never crossed my mind. So, therefore, such a thing never occurred in my marriage. I speak on behalf of all TIV men when I say that such a practice does not happen” he said.
However, the reality TV star issued an open apology for her statement after her eviction from the All-Star session.
The apology came as a result of the backlash she got especially from the apex Tiv socio-cultural organization. At the time, the member representing Makurdi/Guma Federal Constituency of Benue State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dickson Tarkighir, had threatened to take legal action against the reality TV star.
This apology had taken place a month ago and many have called out her ex-husband for bringing it up now, with many calling him a clout chaser.
