Controversial street pop singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has declared that if any of his wives cheats on him, the marriage is over.
The singer made his stance on cheating in marriage while reacting to Seun Kuti’s statement on infidelity.
Portable via his Instagram page on Tuesday said, “If any of my wife cheats and I know oti loo because I don’t want to die young. If your wife dey cheat and you no fit talk, that’s means you’re not a responsible man. Sha no forget to say them fit use your woman get you down.”
The singer’s post spark reactions as netizens were quick to remaind him that he has multiple wives and baby mamas.
Portable’s post follows Seun Kuti and his wife, Yetunde Kuti statement on infidelity.
The duo who has been together for over a decade said cheating is not a dealbreaker in their marriage, Seun went on to say he will never leave his wife even if she cheats on him.
According to him, “We don’t believe in cheating. What is cheating? Love is not ownership.”
When one of the hosts at TVC show asked Seun Kuti, “Would you leave her if she cheats on you,” he replied, “No. What has that got to do with anything?, he quried.
The wife who shared the same sentiment added that, “There is nothing my husband is going to do that would make me leave him. Even if he cheats on me I won’t leave him. I am not going to leave my husband because he cheated on me. Nah, that can’t happen.”
