30 Abducted children in Katsina regains freedom 24hrs after abduction

A stunning development has occurred: thirty kids, mostly girls, kidnapped in Kasai Village in Katsina State’s Batsari Local Government Area, have been freed without violence.

The village was rocked by the abduction on Monday, which was carried out by robbers while the victims were gathering firewood.

But owing to the dedicated work of law enforcement and community partners, the kids were able to regain their freedom less than twenty-four hours later.

News Point Nigeria was notified on Tuesday by ASP Abubakar Sadiq, the State Police Public Relations Officer of Katsina State Police Command, confirming the release.

“Following a concerted effort by the command, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, we’ve achieved a positive outcome,” ASP Sadiq stated, underscoring the swift action taken by authorities upon receiving the distressing report.

In addition, he gave the public the assurance that the police would conduct a comprehensive investigation into the occurrence with the dual goals of freeing the victims who had been kidnapped and catching the perpetrators.

Muhammad Batsari, a local in the impacted region, also verified the news of the kids’ release.

“I received a call this morning informing me that all the kidnapped victims had been released by the bandits,” said Batsari, who was elated with the turn of events.
