Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is hopeful that Nigeria would come out from its current state of unrest given that the indicators are obvious.

When the Methodist Prelate, Most Rev. Oliver Aba, paid him a visit in Abuja yesterday, Wike provided the assurance, saying they had no regrets and are confident they will win.

The religious leader praised the congregation for their prayers for Nigerians and for President Bola Tinubu’s government to carry out his goals and aspirations with the “Renewed Hope” initiative.

He emphasized that it was crucial for all leaders to understand that no one could rule without God’s support.

“I believe by the special grace of God, Nigeria would come out from the turmoil that we are in. That is why Tinubu has never failed to ask religious leaders to continue to pray for his administration and for the growth of Nigeria.

“Prayer is key. We can do all we think, but without God nothing can be achieved, and so his victory; his hope is anchored on God,” he said. understand that no one could rule without God’s support.

Wike gave the Methodist Church his word that their request for property to construct offices and a media center would be taken into consideration by the FCT Administration.

Aba had previously clarified that the site would be used for the construction of a media center and liaison office to improve evangelism and other social amenities.

He stated that the Church would continue to pray for the success of the Tinubu-led government, pointing out that a request of a similar nature was made to the administration in 2023 but was turned down.

“This is because, his success is our success, and his success is the joy of all Nigerians. In actualising his ‘renewed hope’ agenda, I pray for economic renaissance for our dear country and teeming the evil of insecurity in the land. I affirm that there is hope for Nigeria and Nigerians,” the prelate said.
