Kaduna State government tackles insecurity, and other challenges 

In partnership with the Federal Government, to tackle insecurity and other challenges facing the citizens, the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has guaranteed residents of the state of his administration’s commitment to their well being.

This is as he enjoined citizens in the state to practice the lessons of Ramadan for the peace and progress of the state.

The governor, made the call on Wednesday at the Emir of Zazzau’s Palace where he declared the Sallah Durbar celebration shortly after the Eid prayer in Zaria.

He said, “We have prayed for the peace of our state in the month of Ramadan and I want us to learn the lesson of Ramadan and continue to work for the peace and progress of the state and the country generally.

“We are facing some challenges as you are aware, mostly insecurity. We are all working closely together with the stakeholders and the government at the federal level in addressing them.

“We also have other challenges that we are looking at generally. We are calling on our citizens to continue to work for the progress of our state.”

Alhaji Ahmed Bamalli, the Emir of Zazzau, congratulated the Federal and Kaduna state governments, security operatives for the effort they put in place to ensure peace in the state.

He also appreciated the government’s joint effort in rescuing the abducted Kuriga school children who were released recently.

“The effort of the Federal and Kaduna State Government towards resettling the Tudun Biri community is highly commendable.

“I want to also commend our Islamic clerics for the special prayers they offered during the Holy month of Ramadan in ensuring peace in our state,” he said.
