The presidential flag bearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, stormed Osogbo the state capital of Osun, to support the governorship candidate Yusuf Lasun of the LP, ahead of the governorship election on Saturday July 16.
The former governor of Anambra state, while campaigning for the Labour Party, governorship candidate Yusuf Lasun, at the LP mega rally in Osogbo, Osun State, handed over the party flag to Hon. Yusuf as the party candidate for the coming exercise.
Further urged people to vote wisely, claiming that Nigerians had already suffered enough, especially given the country’s current circumstances.
He added that “whosoever votes for the Labour party candidate voted for productivity and dividends of democracy because he is a man of impeccable characteristics with dignified inexplicable managerial acumen.”
The People’s Democratic Party PDP, has Ademola Adeleke, as governorship candidate in Osun, the Labour Party LP, has Lasun Yusuf, as governorship candidate while the All Progressives Congress has Bola Tinubu.
Hon. Lasun welcomed the parties members on his official Twitter page, he said “I heartily welcome the Labour party presidential candidate and incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Peter Obi, the national chairman of our party, Barrister Julius Abure and other party stalwarts to the grand finale of our campaign in Osogbo Osun state.”
Reacting to the statement made by the former governor of Lagos State, Tinubu, who said the ‘Labour Party will labour till death’ Lasun said “yesterday, the APC presidential candidate, Ahmed Tinubu said, we can go and labour and die. Does a virtuous Yoruba person say such? I describe them as people of anonymous backgrounds. We don’t know them. Their life is anonymous.”
