Dayo Amusa was born and she grew up in Lagos where she had her primary and secondary education. Her father, Mr. Kolawole Adeyemi Amusa, was a veteran broadcaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). She attended her primary and secondary school education.
After completing her secondary education, Dayo Amusa proceeded to Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria where she studied Food Science and Technology. She later went on to pursue a career in acting and filmmaking.
