Actress Kate Henshaw calls for the end of NYSC due to insecurities

Actress Kate Henshaw in a bold statement that has got the public attention calls for the end of National Youth Services Corps (NYSC).

Taking a strong stance against the continuation of the NYSC exercise, she calls the attention of the government to why they need to put an end to the scheme.

Kate Henshaw who is known for being proactive in youth development has noted that the youths have more to loss than gain from NYSC program given the current insecurity situation of the country.

She also went ahead to list how back in her time being a coper was fun and had benefits, as she had gotten reduce flight ticket for using her NYSC ID card and the roads were safe to travel.

She aired her concerns about the safety of young people who are been sent to serve in areas that are unsafe while questioning the relevance of the NYSC program.

The actress took to her Twitter page to share this statement.

“When I served in the North, it was a very memorable experience. Travelling from Bauchi by road to the airport was safe & then flying to Lagos just with my NYSC ID card, which also got me rebate on my ticket.

It’s time to SCRAP this idea since corpers can’t travel within this country without LET OR HINDRANCE!

Stop putting the lives of young people at risk with moribund ideas.

Security is a priority & needs to be sorted totally, not technically”
