Armed robbers shoot Bolt driver, snatch car in Rivers State 

Armed robbers reportedly shot Bolt driver and snatched his vehicle at the Rumuokalabo area of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

Wakadaily learnt that the incident happened at about 10:12pm at Rumuokalagbor on Monday.

An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity because he was not allowed to speak to journalists said he was walking towards the D/Line area of the metropolis and suddenly heard voices in a vehicle as if people were fighting.

“On a closer look, I saw that two men inside a red Spider car, one in front and another behind were dragging with the driver and punching him on his face.

“Next thing I heard gunshots and they zoomed off with the car. So, I ran backward and saw that the driver had been shot and pushed out of the vehicle. So, I and other people that came around and saw that it was a Bolt driver who was saying they had shot him on the leg and took his car.

 “He was bleeding and there was blood all over him. So, he was rushed to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital for treatment.”

He added that immediately the gunshot was heard, few people from the adjourning streets who were still outside took to their heels.
