Gunmen kidnap teenager, kill four in Sokoto community

Gunmen kidnapped teenager and killed four people on their farmland in a community close to the Gandi district of the Rabba Local Government Area in Sokoto to state on Saturday.

The Nigeria Police Force, Sokoto State Command, DSP Sanusi Abubakar, confirmed that the assailants attacked the farmers on their farms with dangerous weapons and in the process killed four persons.

He stated that the Divisional Police Officer of Rabba, in his situation report, also revealed that an 18-year-old girl was abducted during the attack that took place in broad daylight.

Gunmen have recently been attacking villagers in Sokoto, killing and kidnapping which most people are scared to go to their farm in the community.

Wakadaily reported that few months ago, Gunmen invade into one of the Parishes Presided over by the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Hassan Kukah.

It was gathered that the armed hoodlums kidnapped two Priests and two others in the rectory of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Gidan Maikambo in the Kafur Local  Government Area in Katsina State. And information about their way about is still unknown.
