Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu hails from Nkwelle-Ogidi, which is situated in the Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State in the southeastern region of Nigeria.
He completed his elementary education at St. Peters Primary School and his secondary education at Oraukwu Grammar School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Port Harcourt and a master’s degree in Political Science specializing in International Relations from the University of Lagos.
Career
Bob-Manuel Obidimma Udokwu’s acting journey began in primary school, gaining popularity in primary six. After completing secondary school, he pursued his passion for acting more seriously. He joined amateur theater groups and even worked as a guest presenter on FRCN, Enugu. In 1986, he enrolled in a certificate program at the University of Port Harcourt and was recognized as the Second Runner-up for Best Student Actor of the Year in 1987. This achievement motivated him to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts.
As a student, he served as the National President of the Nigerian Universities Theatre Arts Students Association (NUTASA) in 1989. During his tenure, he learned about an upcoming soap opera and successfully auditioned for a role, marking the next phase of his acting career. He made his first appearance in the film industry with his debut role in the movie “Living in Bondage” in 1992. Subsequently, he embarked on his acting journey, actively participating in various other films.
