Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-olu have declared a 25 percnt slash in transport fares for government -owned transport project.
The governor disclosed this during a live media chat on Thursday.
He also announced that Civil Servants from level 1-14 will begin to work three days a week as part of the standard to ease the economic issues for residents.
Sanwo-olu noted that the convention was deliberated to confidential residents of steps being taken to reduce the economic hamper on Lagosians.
He further said, workers in the teaching sector will, however, maintain their five days a week work schedule, but government will ensure additional transportation support for them.
He stated that state government will open Sunday Markets in at least 42 identified markets where residents will be able to buy food items at a discounted price.
”You will only need able to buy items worth up to N25,000,” he said.
