Buhari’s daughter bags UK degree amid 7 months ASUU strike

Zahra, one of the daughters of President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday graduated with a first-class degree from the United Kingdom university.

Buhari’s wife Aisha posted a picture of herself with Zahra on her Facebook page. She wrote, “Congratulations to Mrs. Zahra Buhari on your graduation with First Class Honours in Architectural Science. Wishing you all the best!”.

Wakadaily reports that ASUU has been on strike since 14 February 2022, to protest over the non-implementation of its demands by the federal government, the demands including calls for the government to implement the Memorandum of Action (MoA) signed in December 2020 on funding for the revitalisation of the public universities.

“Other demands are Earned Academic Allowances, renegotiation of the 2009 agreement and the deployment of the University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS), among others.”
