A Nigerian man identified as Tunde Onakoya is currently attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon, and he has gone twenty-four hours already.

Nigerian singer Davido showed his support by showing up to the scene of the chess marathon in order to motivate him and boost his boldness.

In the clip, you can see Tunde and Davido hugging, and after that, he went back to his chair beaming with smiles on his face.

Clearly Davido’s presence there increased Tunde’s confidence to an extent, and added him much needed motivation.

Widely Davido is known for showing massive support for  fellow Nigerians, as he always turns up for them. Just before he went to support Tunde Onakoya, he had a show in New York. Although he may have been tired, he still deemed it fit to show up for a fellow citizen

Currently, lot of Nigerians have  been doing mind blowing things that have made it to way to the world top.

A year ago, Hilda Baci entered the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest cooking time, which she called the ‘cookathon’.

Latest developments have it that, a Nigerian lady by the name Pelumi Nubi set out to drive from London to Lagos, and although she encountered a few issues, she arrived just in time.

It was a success, that pelumi nobi hit the record as the first woman to drive from London to Lagos, and took her flowers, as she was being showered with kind words globally.

Nigerians are doing other ground breaking things apart from breaking records, things like being the first Afro-beats act to perform at the Grammys as a performer. Africa got to experience this honor because of Burnaboy at the Grammys 2024.

The music artist Davido also did something overwhelming, when he got to launch the first Music and Arts faculty in Africa, while he was in Uganda. He also got an entire hall in the school which he put after his name.
