Davido would never do this’ – Uche Ogbodo reacts to Wizkid’s statement against rap music

Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo has joined other colleagues to criticize singer, Wizkid for disrespecting the Nigerian Rap industry.

Wakadaily learnt that in a recent interview with 10 magazines, the More Love, Less Ego crooner’ said, “I don’t listen to rap – that shit is boring to me. It’s dead now, it’s tired. These guys do the same shit, rap on the same beats and the same flows.”

In another post the singer called his colleagues broke boys that sends their rap videos to him adding that there are only three rappers in Africa, none of which are Nigerians.

His comment elicited a flurry of reactions from Nigerian rappers and lovers of the genre.

Reacting to that Uche Ogbodo via her Instagram account tagged his statement as insensitive adding that his colleague, Davido wouldn’t make such statement.

She wrote, “Wizkid was wrong! Too wrong! How could you say such about your people! Who do us this thing sef? Which Babalaolwo mix this juju wey say Nigerians must hate fellow Nigerians! No loyalty to your people! To your country! Only selfishness everywhere! Abeg make all of them getat! This is not nice! All Nigerian rappers y’all are the biggest and the greatest. Abeg! David would never do this! Lai Lai”.
