The Dangote Petroleum Refinery have been commended by the former chairman of the manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Ogun Chapter, Dr Wale Adegbite, for the reduction of price of diesel from N1,200 to N1,000 per litre across the country.
Adegbite, also hope that this price reduction would be maintained, without causing any predatory pricing tactics.
This commendation was given by Adegbite in an interview with the newsmen on Wednesday in Ota, Ogun state.
“The reduction of diesel price from N1,200 to N1,000 is a very good development and it will reduce the cost of doing business.
“We hope it can be sustained and not just predatory pricing,” he said.
This announcement was made in a statement by the spokesperson for Dangote Group, Mr Tony Chiejina, on Tuesday.
However, three weeks ago the Dangote Refinery rolled out the product at a reduced price of N1,200 per litre, representing an over 30 per cent reduction from the previous market price of about N1,600 per litre.
