GPPSL advises operators on capacity development

Obi Uzu, the Chief Executive Officer of Global Process & Pipeline Services Limited noted that the oil companies risk being relegated if they are not abreast of the energy ecosystem.

He listed competence, capacity, and collaboration as the three pivotal metrics crucial for driving progress in the energy sector.

According to the statement, the CEO stressed that competence encapsulates the imperative of comprehensive knowledge, training, continuous research, and development.

He stated the benefit of understanding the energy sector ecosystem to foster partnership and attract expertise from around the globe.

Uzu made this known at the Nigeria International Energy Summit that, “Without such broad knowledge, companies risk relegating themselves to lower levels within the industry.”

He emphasize the critical role of innovation in capacity building and sustainable development within the industry.

Innovation is not just about staying ahead; it is about transforming challenges into opportunities and leading the way towards a more sustainable energy future for Africa,” Uzu said.

He quote instances where his company leveraged its knowledge and expertise to modify equipment for deepwater operations, thereby staying ahead of the curve in innovations.

Uzu emphasised the necessity of deploying adequate resources to fulfil commitments and deliverables.
