Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party for Eti-Osa Federal House of Representatives, Bankole Wellington aka Banky W, for the first time speaks following his loss at the last Saturday’s February 25th elections.
Wakadaily reports that the INEC declared Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party as the winner of the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Attah polled 24,075 votes, beating his counterparts, Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 18,666 votes, and Babajide Obanikoro of the APC, who had 16, 901 votes.
Speaking up for the first time after the just concluded election, Banky shared a video of himself during a Sunday services, expressing his heartbreak for losing the election.
The musician revealed that he had made huge preparations for his win, which include a Sunday thanksgiving programme, searching for an apartment and office in Abuja, and others.
The husband to Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi, added that he is strengthened by his faith in God which can sometimes give way for one to be hurt.
Banky W also noted that his loss at the election will not stop him from praising God because he will still hold the thanksgiving.
