Joyce Kalu, originally from Ohafia, Abia State in Southeastern Nigeria, was born on September 25, 1970. She completed her primary and secondary education in Abia State, Nigeria. She furthered her studies at Lagos State University (LASU), where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Additionally, Kalu obtained a diploma in Computer Science.

Joyce Kalu is a Nigerian actress who rose to prominence after her role in the Nollywood film “Take me Home” in 2005. She is also involved in business ventures. In 2018, she starred in the award-winning movie “Bound” alongside Rita Dominic and Enyinna Nwigwe.
Kalu received the honorary title of Apunawu I of Ohafia Community, Abia State, and was recognized as the Most Influential Actress of the Year at the Niger Delta Icon and Dynamic Awards in 2020.
