Prof. Kingsley Chinedu Moghalu, a former presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Party (ADC), who served as the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has endorsed Peter Obi of the Labour Party, saying, he is a valid legitimate candidacy.
Recall that Moghalu resigned his membership in the African Democratic Congress (ADC) days after losing the election.
He said, “I have resigned because the process and conduct of the party’s presidential primary on June 8, 2022, at Abeokuta revealed a fundamental clash of values between me and your leadership of the party.”
During an interview on Arise Television on Monday, when asked what he thinks about Peter Obi, he said, “I think is a good thing, is a very valid legitimate and candidacy movement.
“We have been calling for the young people to get more involved in their future in this country, so to see that it begins to happen in a forced way, it’s a good development.
He further said, “After I resigned from the party, severely parties came to me, saying, your political brand is very powerful, and we will like you to be our candidate. primaries have closed, but we will do a substitution to put you on the ticket.
He added that he considered several factors and told them that “it is not about ambition rather a desire to save, is not about myself, but Nigeria.”
