My ex-husband always beat me anytime Man Utd lose match – Actress Victoria Inyama

Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama has recounted how her ex-husband, Godwin Okri always beat her whenever Manchester United lose match.

The thespian said her estranged husband always “punched the TV” over the defeats, and when she complained, he would face her angrily and ask, “Did your father bring any TV to this house?”

Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the actress said despite ending the marriage in 2013, Mr Okri still threatens to kill her.

She said: “I hate Man Utd, ehn. The number of beatings wey dem beat me because Man United lose match ehn.

“Even up to today when there is a football match and Man U loses, I am like Thank God, today would have been a beating day. Even my son knows and would be laughing.”

On how she is healing, Inyama said, “I’m doing psychology. I’m trying, but there are certain things that have been instilled in me.”

Inyama also revealed how her husband also bring his girlfriend home while they were still married, and the side chick was even telling her how to manage her home.

Chude asked, “So your husband was bringing his girlfriends home?”

In response, she said, “Oh wow, yes. There was even one instance where the girl was telling me what to cook.

“I should not be cooking meat; I should be cooking fish. Fish is healthier. I was just looking at this girl, and they were ‘working together.”

The movie star said she doesn’t regret giving up her acting career and relocating to the UK because of their three children, despite everything she had to go through.

“I don’t regret abandoning my career for my marriage because I have three beautiful children

“My ex-husband was physically, mentally, and psychologically abusing me. When my husband hit me for the first time, I didn’t believe it, I was in shock.

He still threatens to kill me or put me in prison to date.

“I always tell myself where did I go wrong? What did I do? But then, they can bring the right package to the wrong address and there is nothing you can do about it”.
