The Nigerian Institute of Management Chartered (NIMC) has declared it’s partnership with the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) on work ethics and behavior change.
Mrs Christiana Atako, the President and Chairman of the Council of NIM revealed in her keynote speech that the cooperation agreement was reached during the courtesy visit to the NEPC headquarters in Abuja.
Atako said, “Work ethics and attitudinal change have been identified as the major keys to increased productivity and improved service delivery in organisations.
“Human resource is the greatest asset of every organisation and there is a need for human capital to be improved upon constantly to remain relevant and up to date with current realities in the workplace.”
Atako added that, NIM has been contributing to nation-building through capacity building, reengineering, and various human capital development programmes over the years.
In other to increase staff productivity and service delivers she asked NEPC hierarchy to partake in the institute various human capital development programs and utilize the services.
‘Work Ethics and Attitudinal Change’, the president equally requested the directors and top management staff of the commission to enlist for intensive training for the membership admission programme, which was an accelerated route to the institute’s membership.
“By NEPC taking advantage of the human capital development initiatives of the institute, NEPC would have allowed NIM to contribute to its management excellence.
“As a gender-sensitive organisation, the sponsorship of female staff members of NEPC to this year’s Women in Management and Leadership conference scheduled to be held in July in Lagos,” she stated.
Mrs Nonye Ayeni, the Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, told the institute’s delegation that the council placed a premium on staff training and development.
Ayeni assured that the council would carefully study the proposals and take advantage of them.
