Nollywood actresses Nkechi Blessing and Laide Bakare have responded to the reconciliation of their senior colleagues, Taiwo Hassan and Yinka Quadri.
In the past, their friendship was disrupted by an anonymous blogger known as Gistlover, and tensions escalated when Yinka Quadri did not attend Shaki’s wedding and naming ceremony.
However, the two actors have now made amends, as seen in videos circulating online where they hugged each other at Yoni Fabiyi’s birthday celebration.
Nkechi Blessing expressed surprise at the previous dispute between the two actors and questioned when they had a disagreement in a comment on a blog.
“Fight? When Biko?”.
Laide Bakare conveyed her happiness about their reunion through her written words; “Huge congratulations”.
Similarly, in 2022, there was almost a confrontation between Madam Saje and Fali Werepe at Yinka Quadri’s surprise 63rd birthday party.
The dispute began when Fali Werepe challenged Madam Saje’s statement at the star-studded event.
Madam Saje took offense and claimed that she had more seniority in the Nollywood industry than Fali Werepe.
Fali Werepe, who had no ill feelings towards Madam Saje, explained that she was only pointing out an exaggeration.
However, the two actresses reconciled when Fausat showed her lack of resentment towards Fali by writing a heartfelt note to her on her birthday.
Furthermore, last year, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele finally ended their long-standing rivalry over who would dominate the Box Office.
The two women resolved their differences as Toyin Abraham celebrated Funke on her birthday, and Funke reciprocated the gesture. To further demonstrate their renewed friendship, Toyin attended the premiere of Funke Akindele’s movie, She Must Be Obeyed.
Last week, Toyin Abraham wrote an open letter to Funke, discussing how fan wars had caused their unnecessary feud and congratulated her on reaching the milestone of one billion in cinema earnings. Funke responded by wishing Toyin the best.
