Award-winning Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to comedian AY’s public apology after calling him a ‘small preek.’
AY Makun received heavy backlash after a video of him shading Davido during his recent performance in Warri went viral on social media.
Wakadaily reported how AY had cracked a joke commenting on Davido’s numerous baby mama issues.
During the show, the comedian told the DJ not to play Davido’s ‘Unavailable’ song to introduce him again, asking how was it possible for someone who is not available to impregnate women.
He made reference to the singers private part saying David had a “small penis” which he used in fathering many children, while it took him who had a “big d!ck” 13 years to be able to get another child.
Following the blaclash by netizens, the comedian vai his Instagram page tendered an apology to the singer.
According to him: “I am very sorry for the way that joke came out in Warri. You have every right to be angry after seeing how it was used by blogs. Please understand that we are all constantly learning in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash coming my way for the poorly delivered joke in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my Aburo. No reason for them. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido.”
Responding to the apology, Davido took to the comment section of the post to assure him there’s no issue between them.
He wrote: “Nothing spoil baba mi.”
