One dead in Lagos-Ibadan expressway accident

One person has been confirmed dead in a fatal accident involving a Mazad vehicle and a tanker, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to reports the crash happened along Kara bridge, en route Ivadan from Berger, around 7:00 pm on Thursday.

The driver of the truck, who was said to have allegedly hit the car and escaped, while a man, who is his assistant was being held by other people and the driver of the car.

According to an official of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who confirmed the incident, when the team arrived at the scene the corpse of the deceased was lying on the ground, adding that the man was said to be a hawker on the road.

The FRSC team noted that efforts were being made to take the corpse to appropriate quarters.”
