Nigerian Afro-fusion singer and songwriter Daniel Benson, professionally known as BNXN, to be sanction by Lagos police for assaulting an officer.
In a viral video making round the media, BNXN formerly known as Buju, was seen without his shirt, several reports says that he was slapped by the Nigerian police force and his clothes torn.
The Lagos State Police Commnand spokesperson, Ben Hundeyin, reacts to Buju’ post saying he spat on a police officer during a confrontation on Wednesday.
According to Buju’s deleted tweet, “Spat in a police officer’s face and it felt so good. I let you in my car and you dragged and tear my shirt, and start slapping me? (Sic) Nah, everybody must stop.”
Reacting to the incident, the police spokesperson Hundeyin, noted via his Twitter that the police officers will be punished if found guilty of misconduct, sharing a screenshot of Buju’s tweet.
He wrote, “BNXN proudly tweeted that he ‘spat in [sic] a police officer’s face and it felt so good.’ He has since deleted the tweet. The police officers will be sanctioned for their misbehaviour if established, while @BNXN will surely answer for his assault on a police officer.”
