Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold responded to producer Samklef’s accusation that his wife Simi intentionally caused him to face criticism online, on May 5, 2024.

Various Nigerian artists have been involved in a series of online arguments in the past week, following a heated exchange between Wizkid and Davido.

The most recent pair to engage in a dispute are Adekunle Gold and Samklef. Samklef provoked a response from the usually reserved Adekunle Gold by accusing his wife, the acclaimed singer Simi, of orchestrating the dispute.

Samklef further claimed that he played a significant role in Simi’s success and boasted that she would not surpass her current level.

In reply, Adekunle Gold instructed Samklef not to mention his wife’s name because she doesn’t owe him anything.

The successful artist also advised Samklef to focus on his own achievements instead of taking credit for making Simi who she is.

In the midst of their online argument, Adekunle Gold brought up a past incident to Samklef, where he and his closest friend had given money to the producer for a song that was never created.

He also stated how poorly they were treated when they visited the producer’s house in Ogba.

Although Adekunle Gold seemed to have expressed his thoughts and moved forward, Samklef has persistently slammed him and his spouse, revealing information about his involvement in producing Simi’s first album ‘Ogaju’.
