Nigeria soldier shot fuel attendant at Ashafa Filling Station near Obasanjo shopping complex, Minna, Niger State.

An eyewitness said, the soldier and the manager were having a misunderstanding though not certain what lead to the argument, they both slap each other, not sure who slap who first, one of the fuel attendant try to intervene, the fuel attendant came with a cutlass to threaten the soldier, unfortunately the yet to be identify soldier brought out his pistol and shot the boy at close range.

According to reports, “the boy was rushed to the Minna General Hospital but died before getting there. the hospital staff said that the fuel attendant was confirmed dead on arrival.

When contacted, the Niger Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Wasiu Abiodun confirmed the incident describing it as unfortunate

He said that investigation into the unfortunate incident has commenced adding that tactical teams have been deployed to the area and normalcy was restored, The station has been closed down.”
