The Weeknd surpasses Michael Jackson’s record for the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist

The Weeknd sets new music records by surpassing late pop star Michael Jackson’s record of the highest-grossing black artist.

Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, known professionally as the Weeknd, is a Canadian pop star released his fourth album in 2020 with hit songs like ‘Blinding Light’ and ‘After Hours’ gaining lots of approval from music lovers.

Business Media platform Wealth, Reported that The Weeknd has made history after his “After Hours Till Dawn Stadium Tour” surpassed Micheal Jackson’s 1987 “Bad Tour”, which grossed $311 million after adjusting for inflation.

Announcing this Wealth posted a picture of The Weeknd and Michael Jackson side by side and captioned it, “A record previously set by Michael Jackson, $313m (adjusted), just got broken by The Weeknd’s “After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour”. He now holds the record for the tour by a Black artist.
