Nigerian Comedian, skit maker, and human rights activist Adebowale Adedayo better known by his stage name Mr Macaroni calls out Senate President, Godswill Akpabio over his recent comment about a token given to senators for vacation.
Mr Macaroni took to his Twitter account to express his dissatisfaction with the corruption and selfishness going on in the Nigeria Senate.
His post is in response to a viral video making rounds on the internet of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio forgetting that he was on a live TV recording and announcing that a token had been sent to his colleagues to enable them to enjoy their vacation, and on realizing his on TV tried to cover up his statement.
The skit maker who did not find this funny at all stated that it was selfish of the senate to disburse vacation allowance to its members who were already well-to-do while the masses are suffering.
He wrote, “Who are those that should be making sacrifices if not for our leaders? Do our leaders understand that leadership is about service, selfishness, and sacrifice?? Why do the poor people of Nigeria have to pay for the luxurious lifestyle of the leaders?? Why??? This isn’t leadership”.
In a second tweet, he said, ”The Senate President has sent very Expensive prayers out of the insufficient blessings of over 200 Million people to himself and his already blessed colleagues at the National Assembly.”
This is not the first time Mr Macaroni will be lending his voice to speak on behalf of the masses.
