Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Mohbad, expressed his frustration after the person who filed a petition against him did not appear in court.
In a viral video, he had previously appealed to Nigerians for help after receiving an invitation from the Alagbon police station without knowing the reason behind it.
He suspected that it was an attempt to silence or detain him. Although he responded to the police’s call, he was disappointed that his petitioner did not show up.
He questioned why someone would want to keep quiet about the loss of a precious jewel like his son Mohbad.
The clergyman emphasized that it has been a difficult time for him since losing his son, and now he is being petitioned and required to answer to the police in his search for answers about his son’s death.
He urged Nigerians to continue supporting him in any way possible and called for justice for his deceased son.
“Isn’t it funny that I lost my son for months and in my quest to unravel the cause of the de*th of my son, I am being petitioned and need to answer to the police? Wow! I have gone again today to answer the call… Painfully, the petitioner didn’t even show up. Who will lose such a precious jewel as Mohbad and keep mute? Pls you all should not relent in your support through any means achievable. Justice for Mohbad is Justice for all”.
According to some reports, the Oba of Elegushi has filed a lawsuit against the petitioner for cyber bullying, cyber stalking, and criminal defamation.
The head of the Aloba legal team, Monisola Odumosu, explained that these allegations arose after an interview given by Aloba.
He also stated that the late singer’s father clarified that he had no evidence to support the allegations against the monarch, except for a petition written by his late son and phone conversations they had.
During a meeting, the monarch demanded a retraction, but Odumosu clarified that Aloba was never arrested or detained.
Just to remind you, Mohbad, a former artist signed to Naira Marley’s record label, tragically died at the age of 27 under unclear circumstances on September 12.
Following his death, videos circulated showing him being bullied by his former boss and his members. The Nigerian Police are still investigating the cause of his death.
In different news, Joseph Aloba disclosed during an interview that Mohbad was murdered by his secret lover, although he did not provide the name of the lover.
He further stated that Liam is not his grandson, as he observed that Liam’s name does not have a Christian influence and he does not possess the characteristics of their family.
