Afrobeat star Davido finally speaks on why he arrested businessman and photographer Abu Salami for accusing him of debt.

Wakadaiky had reported on Tuesday 7th November 2023 that Davido arrested Abu Salami for leveling allegations against him.

Pictures of Abu Salami at the station surface and making rounds on the internet.

The news left netizens divided as many accused Davido of using his power to bully and oppress others.

However, Davido has made his reason for arresting him known in a leaked chat that surfaced online between him and Larry Gaga.

Davido while chatting with Larry Gaga over the debt saga, revealed that Abu Salami embarrassed him to the whole world. According to him, he couldn’t enjoy the birth of his twins because of the twins.

From the chat, Davido alleged stated that Abu Salami had called his father and had abused his sister, whom his father doesn’t play with, and even his late mother.

The singer said his father has instructed him not to pay any money and he should rather take the case to court for it to be decided.

Recall that Abu Salami had publicly called out the singer for backing out on a contract, claiming to have paid the singer N218 million to influence a football project for kids, which he failed to show up for.

He also accused the singer of using thugs to beat him up and threatening him instead of paying him.

In a the new development, he has now been arrested by the singer.
