Nigerian Singer and Grammy Award winning artist, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has reacted on his Twitter page following the alleged shooting at the VI club by his escort.
It was gathered that the singer made a pass on a married woman at the Victoria Island nightclub in Lagos, Few days ago, Burna Boy was at the VI club when he sighted a lady walking in with her husband at the VIP section, Burna seems to have picked interest in the woman, he sent one of his escorts identified as Inspector Ibrahim, who wasn’t on his uniform to call the lady for him. Unfortunately, the husband of the woman got irritated and told the inspector to leave his wife. However, the inspector insisted on taking the woman to Burna Boy, who already has three ladies beside him.
As things were getting heated, Inspector Ibrahim brought out his service pistol and released fire multiple times while Burna Boy was laughing.
According to The Lagos State Police Commissioner’s Special Squad has arrested five policemen attached to Burna Boy, for attempted murder after they shot two people while trying to make pass at the wife, Irebami Lawrence and another identified simply as Tolu, at Club Cubana on Victoria Island, Lagos, on Wednesday.
“Aware of what he had done, Burna Boy took the next flight out without even informing his policemen. He only called them on video later to inform them that he had travelled to Spain. All his police escorts have been arrested and are currently at the command headquarters.”
The victims are treating their wounds at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. Where they were able to get blood donors at the odd hour.
However, Burna Boy has been silent over the whole issue, both the manager has not said anything about it. After a few days of silence, He tweeted on his page saying Social Media doesn’t surprise him anymore.
